I managed to take a couple of pics of Aphel today ^^

Just like his ma and grandpa he needed two attempts to get his pro-debut. He had a harder start, though, with only about 3,000 fans and a star ranking of 200something. A lot of practice and rehearsals, and we managed to get it up to 87th, before Pizzacat had their first gig.

Shortly before this first show, they changed their genre to Hip Hop and WOAH! I had no clue Aphel was such an awesome breakdancer O_O’

Just lookie lookie:

This performance let them reach rank #32 and gain about 60,000,000 tama fans.
Their 2nd show helped them to rank #5.
Show number 3 didn’t change much, so: no awards today.

Here are his stats, when he went to sleep:
2 yr, 36 lb
hungry ❤❤❤❤
happy ❤❤❤❤
stress: 00
tone: 453
rhythm: 521
original: 722
genre: Pop Music
star ranking: 4th
tama fans: 44,479,803

I caught Yumi on the toilet today (different than her dad, she’s potty-trained) and boy, does she have a nice bathroom :3 *envies her a bit* I like how not only the living room, but also the bathroom changes, when you buy a new interior.

Here is she saying “Hi!”, and a pic of her hanging out in the living room:

She’s such a nice girl: not only drop dead adorable, but also without the need for much attention ^^

Here her stats, after she went to bed:
1 yr, 71 lb
hungry ❤❤❤❤❤
happy ❤❤❤❤❤

Yes! I have a new v-pet ^____^
The banner already says it - it’s a Smart Chick (Gyaoppi clone).

I remember, how I couldn’t find original Bandai tamagotchis (I could afford with my pocket money) anywhere as a kid, and so I bought whatever else looked as close to the original as possible. That way I ended up with some weird chicken pet I couldn’t pause, that kept on dying on me, while I was in school. It frustrated me to no end!
When I found out, that a girl from our village had a Smart Chick - just like one of my school friends - I talked her into trading our pets, telling her my pet was a lot closer to the original than her’s (of which she already got tired anyways), and how I wouldn’t mind letting her have it… I was even as nice as offering to take her “old and boring pet” ;P

So that’s how I got my first Smart Chick.

I have no idea what happened to it, how long I had it or where it is now, though. Maybe it broke? Who knows ^^’
I just know, that I started to miss it, once the tama craziness bit me again, so I kept looking out for it on ebay and finally managed to get a used one for a fair prize.

When it arrived today, I immediatly put new batteries into it and started it.

It kept resetting itself two or three times at first, while I was trying to set the time, but once I was done, everything went smoothly.

What a tiny little baby!
I decided to think of it as a boy and call him… Chickie *lol*

This is how his stats look like:

Took me a while to figure out, that for whatever reason the happiness meter has an own symbol o_o
To fill it I have the choice between playing some card game and playing the well-known game of guessing, into which direction Chickie will look.

Yeah, the animations - during the games as well as while eating or when he pooped - are always the same, they always show a grown up chicken, no matter which form Chickie actually has :/

Aside from this, I’m still pretty happy with my new old v-pet.
It’s pretty low maintenance, at least for a baby, and the sound is less shrill and annoying than on original tamas :)

Here a picture of all three tamas I’m running right now, just to have a comparism in terms of size:

Over the last two days, Aphel still didn’t manage to get any awards. He was pretty much stuck with his star ranking of 4th. Might be related to me being too busy to let him practice with his band as often as neccessary…

Anyways, today he finally got his HipHop award and later on his band manager offered him a gorgeous little Mimitchi as mate, to whom he agreed. Hearts, fireworks… baby.

Here are some picture I took over the course of the day:

Oh, and I decided to let him wear his Spot costume.
His family, band and fans liked it a lot:

As soon as both Aphel and his wife left their kiddo, I’ll give my Music Star a little rest.
I have a lot to do over the next weeks, and the constant beeping and neccessary band practices start to grate on my nerve ;/

Here are his stats, when he went to sleep:
6 yr, 69 lb
hungry ❤❤❤❤
happy ❤❤❤❤
stress: 00
tone: 753
rhythm: 922
original: 999
genre: Pop Music
star ranking: 2nd
tama fans: 402,995,042

I’m still amazed about how hardy the Tama-Go is. I went to work and left it unpaused, and when I came home 7 hours later, little Yumi still had one happy and one hungry heart left. She really is a tough girl, that’s for sure :)

Today she met her brother in the park:

She was really proud of him and his newly won award.

Here her stats, after she went to bed today:
4 yr, 55 lb
hungry ❤OOO
happy ❤❤❤❤O
train [▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪]
friendship ❤❤❤❤❤❤
gotchi points: 970,070

I hope I can marry her off, soon :)

Chickie still is super low maintenance (compared with the Music Star at least) - he neither got more or less needy over the last couple of days. He evolved a couple if times, though:

The best thing about this v-pet, in my opinion, is the option to put it to sleep whenever I want to.
Over the course of the day the sleep meter empties, and the emptier it is, the longer I can put Chickie to sleep. Perfect if you have a pretty irregular sleeping pattern and working schedule like I do

What I don’t like is the lack of animations. You can get a lot of different characters, but they don’t have any own animations.
For example: no matter, what character I got, when it pooped, I always see the same thing on the screen:

But all in all I am still happy, that I finally got “my” Smart Chick back ;P
No matter how nice the original Bandai tamas are, I’ll always have a soft spot for the v-pets I had as a kid.
Even that needy alien pet that didn’t let me cure it when it got sick and therefor always kept dying on me! I want it back D:

Sorry for the sudden lack of updates - I’ve been out of town for a week and couldn’t take my tamas with me ;/
Here’s everything that happened since my last post:

Like planned, I removed my MusicStar’s batteries, as soon as Aphel and his wife left their kid.

I married Yumi off to an adorable Simashimatchi… and then paused them, until I came back home Sunday night.

They’re asleep right now.
Here are Yumi’s current stats:
7 yr, 51 lb
hungry ❤❤❤OO
happy ❤❤OOO
train [▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪]
friendship ❤❤❤❤❤❤
gotchi points: 621,470

I really like, how the TamaGo characters don’t immediatly become parents, as soon as they marry, but instead just live with their partner for a while :)

Nontheless, I’m about to lose interest in the TamaGo - after all, without access to MusicCity nor any of the figurines, the possibilities are pretty limited :/

Chickie died. I neglected him, so I could snap a picture of his death screen and remove the batteries, before I had to leave. He was a hardy little guy, it took almost 2 days for him to die. May he rest in peace 🕯
